From 4c63da97a708e211a7141e29082ab589cbdbcb12 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Alan Modra Date: Wed, 26 Jan 2000 22:48:31 +0000 Subject: [PATCH] This set of patches add support for aout emulation on the x86 assembler. ie. You will be able to do "as --em=i386aout" on an x86 linux-elf assembler to generate aout format object files, rather than using a separate assembler. The aout emulation is enabled by giving "--enable-targets=i386-linuxaout" to configure. Oh yeah, there's a couple of fixes too. Error messages shouldn't be passed to printf in the format arg just in case someone puts a `%' in the message. --- gas/ChangeLog | 128 ++++++ gas/Makefile.am | 9 +- gas/Makefile.in | 11 +- gas/as.c | 215 ++++++---- gas/config/e-i386aout.c | 17 + gas/config/obj-aout.c | 85 +++- gas/config/obj-aout.h | 9 +- gas/config/obj-coff.c | 56 +-- gas/config/obj-coff.h | 8 +- gas/config/obj-ecoff.c | 19 +- gas/config/obj-elf.c | 31 +- gas/config/obj-elf.h | 26 +- gas/config/obj-multi.h | 84 +++- gas/config/tc-i386.c | 67 ++- gas/config/tc-i386.h | 31 +- gas/config/te-multi.h | 22 - gas/configure | 926 ++++++++++++++++++++++------------------ gas/configure.in | 18 +- gas/gasp.c | 9 +- gas/obj.h | 5 +- gas/read.c | 21 +- gas/symbols.c | 24 +- 22 files changed, 1133 insertions(+), 688 deletions(-) create mode 100644 gas/config/e-i386aout.c delete mode 100644 gas/config/te-multi.h diff --git a/gas/ChangeLog b/gas/ChangeLog index eed6044941..9ec7fa76e2 100644 --- a/gas/ChangeLog +++ b/gas/ChangeLog @@ -1,3 +1,131 @@ +2000-01-27 Alan Modra + + * Makefile.am (MULTI_CFILES): Add config/e-i386aout.c + Add dependencies for e-i386aout.o.
